  1. Position the cursor at the place on the web page that you are linking to.
  2. From the tool bar, click "Insert" then "Bookmark"
  3. In the screen that pops up:
    • In the "Bookmark Name" textbox, enter a name, without spaces, that describes the position on the page. Keep it simple. For example, if it is at the beginning of the section, make the bookmark name the same as the section name.
    • Choose "Sort by Name" and check the box in front of "Hidden Bookmark."
    • Click "Add"
    • Position the cursor in the desired location of the hyperlink.
    • From the tool bar, click "Insert," then "Hyperlink."
  4. In the screen that opens:
    • Under "Link to," select "Place in this Document"
    • In the "Text to Display:" textbox, type the word or words that describe the link. These are the words that will appear as the hyperlink on the web page. Be brief, but specific.
    • Click on the + sign in front of the word "Bookmark" in the list that appears.
    • This will open the list of all the Bookmarks that have been inserted in the page. Choose the correct bookmark.
    • Click OK
